Ncikazi On Bucs Pre-Season – iDiski Times

Posted on January 18, 2026

Orlando Pirates Assistant coach Mandala Ncikazi says the training stage the team is at currently is a critical one for the side and they get ready for the second half of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.

The Buccaneers have enjoyed a good start to the campaign with three domestic trophies in the opening six months of the season and finishing 2025 at the summit of the league table with 28 points in 12 outings.

Pirates began training for the return to domestic action earlier this week with their first match the league encounter away at Sekhukhune United on 24 January. Ncikazi gave the camp update Pirates TV.

“It’s an important phase for our team,” said Ncikazi.

“Especially with the players coming from injuries, players coming from the International break.

“Re-align our team, try and re-strategize and be stronger for the next season. So highly important for us, good phase.”
