Nasreddine Nabi ‘interns’ fail another key Kaizer Chiefs test

Posted on December 4, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs have certainly improved to a small degree in the 2025/26 season. However, there are still glaring issues.

The club is now without a win in three matches across all competitions after they lacked a final product against bottom side Chippa United.

Kaizer Chiefs fire blanks against the Chilli Boys

Although they huffed and puffed, Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef’s Kaizer Chiefs side couldn’t blow the Chippa United house down at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Wednesday night, drawing 0-0.

They fired in 17 shots, five on target, delivering an xG of 1.55.

You’d think that would be enough to get the job done against a side at the foot of the Betway Premiership.

However, none of the attacking cast starring Flavio Silva, Mfundo Vilakazi, Asanele Velebayi, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Mduduzi Shabalala, Pule Mmodi, Etiosa Ighodaro, and Khanyisa Mayo, could breach the Chilli Boys’ defence.

Mmodi, Velebayi, Ashley du Preez and Wandile Duba all have zero goals to their name this term.

Winless run continues for Kaizer Chiefs

The Glamour Boys haven’t won a football match since a 4-1 success against Orbit College on 4 November.

Fans on social media don’t have much patience or subtlety, and we’ve seen several dubbing Ben Youssef and Kaze as Nasreddine Nabi’s ‘interns’ as the club continues to look for a permanent managerial solution.

Glody Lilepo, often an effective operator in attack and a popular figure with fans, wasn’t in the matchday squad.

Who should Kaizer Chiefs turn to for a full-time managerial role?
