Nabi Vows Kaizer Chiefs Will Bounce Back Stronger After Tough Season

Newly appointed Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has acknowledged the club’s difficult 2023/24 campaign but insists they now have a clear blueprint for improvement next season.

“We understood this would be a challenging season as we’re in the middle of a rebuilding process,” Nabi stated. “But after experiencing everything this year, we now have absolute clarity on the required steps and decisions needed to elevate the team.”

While admitting disappointment at finishing outside the top eight, the Tunisian tactician emphasized the significance of their Nedbank Cup triumph: “Our league position shouldn’t overshadow the players’ dedication or our cup success. In a season where many clubs ended empty-handed, we delivered silverware – that’s an achievement our supporters should truly celebrate.”

Nabi’s comments come as Chiefs undergo significant squad changes, with several players already confirmed to be departing. The coach hinted at strategic reinforcements, suggesting the club’s recruitment will target specific areas to address this season’s shortcomings.

With preseason preparations looming, Nabi appears determined to transform Amakhosi’s cup success into sustained competitiveness across all competitions next term. The message to the Chiefs faithful is clear: enjoy this trophy while anticipating an improved campaign ahead.
