Nabi Attracts Interest After Chiefs Exit

Posted on October 28, 2025

Nasreddine Nabi has attracted widespread interest in his services after parting ways with Kaizer Chiefs.

Nabi and Chiefs parted ways via mutual agreements, just months into his second season – after delivering their first trophy in a decade in the form of the Nedbank Cup, which sealed their return to CAF inter-club competitions.

He’s since been replaced by his former assistants Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef until the end of the 2025/26 season, as confirmed by Amakhosi – who sealed their place in the group stages of the competition this past weekend.

Sources have confirmed Persian Gulf Pro giants Esteghlal F.C. have made official contact over his services, while United Arab Emirates Pro League side Sharjah FC have also made an initial approach.

Nabi has been linked with several clubs in North Africa in recent weeks; which included a potential return to Tunisia with Etoile du Sahel but that was quickly ruled out.

Lucrative offers from the Libyan Premier League have also been forthcoming, but it’s been suggested Nabi is looking to bide his time over his next move for the right project to return to coaching after returning to his homeland to attend to personal matters.
