Mshishi Hails Bafana Strikers – iDiski Times

Posted on November 18, 2025

Bafana Bafana midfielder Themba Zwane hailed the trio of Evidence Makgopa, Lyle Foster and Iqraam Rayners saying they each bring something different to the national team.

Makgopa and Foster have led the Bafana attack alongside Mohau Nkota while Rayners is still out with injury. All the forwards are also doing well at their respective clubs leaving coach Hugo Broos with a headache for the selection of the final squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament starting in Morocco in late December.

Mshishi spoke to iDiski Times senior journalist Lorenz Köhler where he touched on the strikers’ qualities and the importance of understanding each.

“Ja, to be honest, the three of them, they are quality, with different qualities that they have,” Zwane told iDiski Times.

“Makgopa will give you a different dimension. Even Foster will give you different dimensions, even Rayners. So, for me, I think they offer different things at the highest level. They are quality. And for me, when I play with them I mean, it’s that understanding, obviously starting at training, obviously knowing for sure that if I play with Lyle, I need to act like this. If I play with Makgopa, I need to act like this; it’s that understanding, that’s all.”
