Posted on December 30, 2025

Rulani Mokwena’s MC Alger finished their 2025 with a 2-0 win over ES Setif to go eight points clear at the top of the Algeria Ligue 1.

The table toppers scored both their goals in the second half, with Zinedine Ferhat and Mohamed Bangoura on the scoresheet.

Mokwena’s men have now collected 10 wins and one draw out of 12 league outings, only losing 1-0 to MB Rouissat.

After tonight’s win, Alger have 31 points from 12 games, eight more than second-placed USM Alger. On top, the defending champions also still have two games in hand.

Their next game is already in four days when MC Alger will face Josef Zinnbauer’s JS Kaylie, who are currently in 10th place with 18 points from 12 games.
