Mokwana Scores For Al-Hazem In Home Win

Posted on November 21, 2025

Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana opened his Saudi Pro League account in Al-Hazem’s hard-fought 2-1 home win over Al-Kholood on Friday evening at Al-Hazem Club Stadium.

Mokwana seems to have fallen out-of-favour in the Bafana set-up since his season-long loan move from ES Tunis with the likes of Mohau Nkota preferred over him in the right-wing role.

The former Sekhukhune United attacker has also provided an assist in his last three matches and Friday’s much-needed win saw Al-Hazem move into 12th spot with nine points in nine outings and one the same number of points with Nkota’s Al-Ettifaq.

Ramiro Enrique had given Kholood a third-minute lead before Mokwana’s low equalising strike into the bottom corner in the 30th minute.

Hazem was then awarded a spot kick seven minutes later which Omar Al-Somah nearly tucked in for all three points.
