Mdunyelwa Talks Up AmaZulu Dangermen

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Zuko Mdunyelwa has mentioned at least five AmaZulu players who could pose them great danger ahead of this evening’s Betway Premiership clash.

The Brazilians got their 25/26 campaign off to a great start with a 4-0 thumping of Richards Bay in the MTN8 quarters but were brought back to earth in their league match against Chippa United who rallied from a goal down to earn a deserved 1-1 draw.

Now, as they prepare for tonight’s encounter against Usuthu, Mdunyelwa, who has started the last two games in place of regular right-back Khuliso Mudau, believes that they need to be extra cautious of the players who are the foundation of their opponents.

“Definitely have to mention [Pule] Ekstein and Riaan Hanamub, Bongani Zungu. Those are key influential players,” he said.

“And at the back [Taariq] Fielies. These are key players that have been the foundation of the club, Sandile Mthethwa.

“We very much aware of their strengths and their weaknesses which we plan to explore.”
