Orlando Pirates striker Yanela Mbuthuma has attributed his scoring to how hard he has been training in order to get a chance a play.

Mbuthuma racked up a brace in the second half with the other two goals coming from Tshepang Moremi as the Buccaneers romped to a 4-0 hammering and 7-0 aggregate progression in the CAF Champions League first preliminary round second leg eSgodini.

The 23-year-old could not hide his excitement at finally finding the back of the net for the Soweto giants since his switch from Richards Bay.

“I’m really happy with the two goals I scored,” Mbuthuma said to OP TV.

“I had to push at training and really hard too and I told myself that if I play I’ll get a chance [to score]. All I had to do is keep pushing.

“So, today I’m just happy and I can’t believe it. I’m very happy.”
