Mayambela Makes Shock CT City Decision

Mark Mayambela has submitted his resignation letter at Cape Town City after spending four years at the club as youth development coach. 

iDiski Times can exclusively confirm that Mayambela will leave City after he submitted his resignation which was accepted by the club. 

The former Orlando Pirates winger will serve his notice at City thereafter with the 37-year-old being handful for City development having helped the side to win four major trophies with CTC, under 16 FTIFA Cup twice in 2022 and 2025, he also added the 4th Moment Cup in 2024 and won the Engen Knockout Challenge in 2022 with the U18s.

‘Professor’ recently completed his UEFA A License coaching badge and has already obtained the UEFA B License and CAF B License.

Mayambela was offered an assistant coach role by Chippa United to head coach Sinethemba Badela a month ago before they hired Musa Nyatama.
