Khuliso Mudau has been stealing the headlines recently after reports that the Mamelodi Sundowns star was close to joining rivals Orlando Pirates emerged.
Mudau is arguably one of the best players in the country at the moment.
His situation at Sundowns over the past year however has indeed been strange. But just how close is he to actually leaving the club?
Sundowns star committed to the club
When news broke that Mudau was in serious talks with rivals Orlando Pirates, many Sundowns fans would’ve been left shocked.
Such is the quality of the 30-year-old full-back. Him leaving, and joining Orlando Pirates would’ve been a major blow.
Mudau himself however has reassured Sundowns fans that he’s 100% committed to the club.
“I found out about that. I think one of my friends sent me something like that. Reports saying I’m going to Orlando Pirates,” Mudau told reporters.
“I don’t even know anything. My focus is on Mamelodi Sundowns. I’m 100% here, my heart is here, and I want to achieve things with the team.”
Mudau’s new contract details
In light of his recent exit rumours, many reports suggested Mudau’s contract at Mamelodi Sundowns will come to an end in June.
New reports however suggest this isn’t the case. In fact, Soccer Laduma claim the Bafana Bafana star signed a new contract at the club just last year.
Mudau is reportedly a top-earner at the club and it will take a mega-money offer for Masandawana to sell their star man.
