List of January transfer targets

Posted on January 5, 2026

Orlando Pirates have some exciting names on their January shopping list with the Soweto giants set to make some big moves.

Let’s take a look at the players linked with the Buccaneers this transfer window.

LIST OF PIRATES TARGETS

  • Thabo Moloisane
  • Mfanafuthi Mkhize
  • Daniel Msendami
  • Siyanda Ndlovu

Reports suggest that Orlando Pirates are still monitoring Thabo Moloisane. However, even if they do pursue him, he is unlikely to join the Bucs this transfer window.

“Indications are that talks around Moloisane’s situation have not been closed, even if the move does not appear guaranteed for the January transfer window,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.

The insider went on to add that Bucs are also keeping a close eye on Durban City defender, Mfanafuthi Mkhize.

Additionally, Orlando Pirates are said to be considering luring Golden Arrows winger Siyanda Ndlovu to the club.

“Golden Arrows winger Siyanda Ndlovu has reportedly attracted interest from Orlando Pirates ahead of the January window,”iDiskiTimes wrote in Edition 234 of their virtual magazine.

“Pirates could make a move in January, though they may also wait until the end of the current season,” they added.

BUCS IN TRANSFER BIDDING WAR WITH CHIEFS

Finally, exciting and skilful attacker Daniel Msendami has drawn interest from both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

“With reports previously linking Zimbabwean striker Daniel Msendami to both Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, the forward has now confirmed that the Soweto giants did, in fact, express genuine interest in his services,” SNL reported.

It’s unclear whether an official offer was made by either Bucs or Amakhosi.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates have made their first signing of the January transfer window after landing Stellenbosch FC star, Andre de Jong.
