Kaizer Chiefs defender Zitha Kwinika focuses more on playing the game and not thinking about the revenge against Stellenbosch FC.
Two weeks ago, Stellenbosch eliminated Chiefs out of the Nedbank Cup beating them 2-1. This wasn’t the first time this season Stellies beating Chiefs in a cup game, back in October the Cape Winelands side were victorious via penalties at the DHL Stadium during the Carling Knockout Cup.
One would take this league fixture as a revenge but as for experienced Kwinika it isn’t about that, it is all about learning from the previous game and correcting the mistakes.
Amakhosi will look to draw inspiration from the league win against Stellenbosch back in August.
“From my end, I don’t want to be saying it’s revenge and what not but it’s me saying we learnt from what happened from the previous game,” Kwinika told the media
“We going into the game tomorrow [today] with a better view, more clarity in certain things that we need to do. Because once you go there with the mentality of revenge and what not that can expose you into a lot of things.
“We just sticking to the plan because we know what they do best and what we can capitalize on.”
The clash at FNB Stadium gets underway at 19:30.
