KICKOFF TIME as leaders continue surge

Posted on August 29, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs fans are on cloud nine as the club’s super start to the 2025-2026 season continues. What’s up next?

A trip to Golden Arrows represents a chance to go unbeaten in their first five Betway Prem outings.

Arrows have also made an impressive start with seven points from a possible 12.

OFFICIAL: Kaizer Chiefs are still the biggest club in South Africa

Golden Arrows vs Kaizer Chiefs is next for Nabi

Next up is a trip to Golden Arrows on Saturday, 30 August, with kickoff at 17:30. Let’s also not forget the club’s 55 trophies in their storied history, including 13 league crowns. They’re also, by far and away, the most followed club in the land.

A great moment for Kaizer Chiefs

Goodwill with the fans is at a high right now. Chiefs beat Orlando Pirates last season to claim the Nedbank Cup, their first silverware for a decade, and they’re unbeaten in four league outings this term. Three wins and a goalless draw represent a superb start, but now expectations are higher and Nabi’s men must maintain their standards against an in-form Abafana Bes’thende side.

Chiefs are ‘killing football’ according to disgusted boss

Mthethwa shines at the base of midfield

In 2024-2025, former Stellies man Sibongiseni Mthethwa only made 15 appearances in the league. This time around, he’s four from four. It’s clear to see that manager Nasreddine Nabi has discovered a level of trust in the 31-year-old’s skills in his system. With Cele and Mthethwa, Chiefs have a considerable defensive presence at the base of midfield, allowing Mduduzi Shabalala freedom to express himself in the number 10 role.
