Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef says his side knows what to expect against Al Masry on match day five of the CAF Confederation Cup at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.
The sides head into the penultimate round of the group stages lying in third and second places in Group D, respectively, in tied on seven points – a win for either side could see them qualify for the knockout phase.
They have already met in the tournament in the opening group clash in Egypt, it was won by Al Masry though Youssef felt Amakhosi could have gotten at a least point.
Ahead of the game in Polokwane Youssef said he rates the Egyptian side highly, adding that Chiefs have learnt from their mistakes in the first match, while they have also done their homework in their pursuit to progress in the competition.
“The Al Masry team is one of the best teams in Egypt and they also have one of the best Tunisian coaches, coach Nabil Kouki, said Youssef.
“I think for us, this team when we played against them in Egypt the game was 50/50. We were unlucky in the last minute.
“We made an individual mistake and we conceded the second goal but I think the reality of this game it was a minimum draw.
“I think they will miss two or three key players the center-back and the midfielder and also the new player the Moroccan winger.
“For us we saw the last few games of Al Masry with our analyst we checked all the weak points and the positive points for Al Masry, and that was discussed with the players and what we’ve prepared for tomorrow.”
