Khalil – Chiefs Need To Fix This Problem

Posted on December 9, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Ben Youssef Khalil praised the performances of the club in the last matches but expressed concerns on chances missed.

Chiefs missed an opportunity to go level on points with league leaders Orlando Pirates after playing back-to-back goalless draws against Chippa United and TS Galaxy.

Amakhosi has had a problem of missing chances in front of goals and that proved to be costly to them. In the Betway Premiership top five, Chiefs is the lowest scoring team with 13 goals in 13 matches.

Khalil praised the performances of both goalless draws but concerned over the goal scoring opportunities they miss in a game. With the AFCON coming, Chiefs will be on break and have all their players available, Khalil wants to use that opportunity to fix the issue.

“I think in both games, the most important thing is the performance of the team, we created lots of opportunities we have the same problem in the last third but we unlucky not to score,” Khalil told the media.

“Now we will have this break to fix the problem to think forward, how are we going to continue going forward.

“Like I said, we are so happy about the performance of the team last few games. I think the team performed very well but we missed points because we are not scoring the opportunities we get.

“We have to continue to work, we have to fix this problem. I think the most important thing is the performance of the team.

“The team is performing well; we don’t have to be scared about the team when the team is not performing well that’s a heavy problem.”
