Kaze On A Possible Treble

Posted on February 2, 2026

Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze says though it is too early to be speaking about a possible treble he has dreams just like everyone.

Under the guidance of Kaze and his co-coach Khalil Ben Youssef, Amakhosi have enjoyed one of their best starts to a campaign.

The Soweto giants are currently number three in the Betway Premiership standings with 30 points in 15 outings, two points behind Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

They are also campaigning to get out of group D of the CAF Confederation Cup where they occupy third place with seven points in four matches, just one point from leaders Zamalek. Kaze’s charges also their Nedbank Cup title to defend as well starting this month.

With three trophies still up for grabs, Kaze was asked how he feels about the possibility of a treble and he said Chiefs are working hard to put themselves in favourable conditions for good to happen to them.

“It’s the middle of the season and we are already talking about a treble but I like that” said Kaze.

“I like that, that’s a positive way of thinking and every man has a dream, every coach has a dream. That’s why I wake up every day at 6’00 in the morning preparing for my sessions preparing for my meetings with our players and videos collectively.”

“That’s why I sleep very late at night preparing for the next game because nothing comes easy, nothing comes without hard work. And us Kaizer Chiefs we are pulling ourselves in every positive situation to work for everything good that can happen to us. And we will keep going until we see how far we can reach.”
