Kaizer Chiefs co-coach Cedric Kaze has given a positive injury update on forward Glody Lilepo.
Lilepo had a good game in Chiefs’ 3-1 win over DRC outfit AS Simba in the return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup with the 28-year-old scoring the third goal for Amakhosi just before halftime. He did however not return for the second half as he was replaced by Pule Mmodi.
Kaze who took over from Nasreddine Nabi with Khalil Ben Youssef addressed that it shouldn’t be a major injury on Lilepo as it looked like a knock but confirmed that they will get full update from the club’s doctor on the player’s injury.
The Burundian further mentioned that Lilepo should be available for the Betway Premiership clash against Durban City on Friday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
“We will have to discuss with the doctors tomorrow, but it was a knock which I think that he shouldn’t be very bad because if it was muscular injury that would be another issue,” Kaze told the media.
“But I think it’s a knock probably one-or two-days ice. I think he should be ready to go on Friday against Durban City.”
