Kaze Explains Chislett’s ‘Tricky’ Situation

Posted on December 1, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs coach Cedric Kaze has explained the ‘tricky’ situation that has kept Ethan Chislett from making his club debut.

The 27-year-old signed with Amakhosi on a free transfer at the start of the season after leaving English club Port Vale.

However, he has yet to feature in a competitive match for the club, having spent the early part of the season watching from the sidelines.

Kaze mentioned that Chislett had been recovering from a difficult injury over the past few weeks but has now returned to full training, aiming to regain his fitness ahead of his long-awaited debut.

“Chislett was injured a few weeks ago, he was out for the last few weeks,” said Kaze.

“He started to train with the team 10 days ago. We are building him up for the next games because his injury was tricky one.

“But he’s been training with the team now for more than a week. And we hope that he will be physically fit in the next few days.”
