Kaizer Chiefs coach Cedric Kaze has explained the absence of Khalil Ben Youssef from the matchday squad against Siwelele on Wednesday.
The Moroccan was a notable absentee from the squad sheet and at FNB Stadium, with Kaze listed as the sole head coach for the clash which ended 0-0 at the Calabash.
However, Kaze allayed suggestions that he’s left the club, confirming he returned to his homeland, and will be back with the squad imminently – ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup clash.
“Khalil attended a personal matter in Morocco, he was not here but he will be back here tomorrow,” Kaze said when asked by iDiski Times about his absence in their league outing.
Chiefs are now four games without a win in the league, leaving them in fourth place, five points behind Mamelodi Sundowns – who have played one game more.
