Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr has expressed delight at finally landing long-term target Asanele Velebayi from Cape Town Spurs.

The 22-year-old was finally declared a free agent by the PSL Dispute Resolutions Chamber on Monday with the Amakhosi not wasting time in announcing the player who had verbally agreed to join the club.

“We are happy to finally have Asanele with us,” Motaung Jr told the club’s website.

“He is a great addition, and we believe he will add significant value because he is a perfect fit for our game model and the culture we have here at the Club.”
