Kaizer Chiefs youngsters to play against Man United

Posted on October 8, 2025

Some exciting stuff for Kaizer Chiefs fans. After the reserve team’s DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) triumph in 2024/25, their first-ever title in the competition, with a record 70 points, a big reward has been announced.

Amakhosi will test themselves against some of England’s top youth teams, starting with Manchester United, in an exciting UK tour this November.

So what else is in store for these boys? The 11-day trip, running from 25 November to 7 December 2025, will also see Kaizer Chiefs face Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers U21, giving the young stars a taste of international competition and world-class football environments.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO FACE MANCHESTER UNITED AFTER WINNING THE DSTV DISKI CHALLENGE (DDC)

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) confirmed the exciting news in an official press release. “The 2024/25 DStv Diski Challenge champions, Kaizer Chiefs, will face English giants Manchester United this coming November as part of the DDC International Tour,” the note said.

“As part of their reward, the champions will now test themselves against international opposition – Manchester United, Leeds United, and Queens Park Rangers (QPR) U21 – during an 11-day UK tour scheduled from 25 November to 7 December 2025.”

Kaizer Chiefs will depart the OR Tambo International Airport on Tuesday, 25 November, arriving in Manchester the following day. Their first match is against Manchester United on Friday, 28 November, followed by Leeds United on Tuesday, 2 December, and ending in London with QPR U21 on Saturday, 6 December.

MORE EXCITEMENT OFF THE FIELD

Beyond the games, Kaizer Chiefs will enjoy academy exchange visits with Manchester United and Liverpool, giving players and staff invaluable knowledge-sharing opportunities. The team will also attend a Premier League fixture between Leeds United and Chelsea, and enjoy a day in London, including a visit to the Premier League offices.

“Throughout the 2024/25 season, Amakhosi demonstrated grit and determination, collecting vital points even while several key players were away on national duty, truly embodying the spirit of the DDC,” the PSL said.

“The partnership between the PSL and MultiChoice remains steadfast in its commitment to community development and sporting excellence. Looking ahead, MultiChoice continues to invest in nurturing grassroots talent and empowering communities across South Africa,” the statement concluded.
