Kaizer Chiefs youngsters to leave

Posted on September 17, 2025

Nasreddine Nabi has revealed that Chiefs’ sporting director Kaizer Motaung Junior wants to loan a few youngsters out so they can get game time.

Chiefs’ current playing squad needs trimming before the transfer deadline shuts on 22 September.

Which youngsters will make the cut?

Nabi hints at Kaizer Chiefs exits

“It’s true that the squad is big and the technical staff, management, the sporting director, Kaizer Junior, is working on options to try offload the squad, to give some players, who didn’t have consistency or time to get more game-time, to other teams,” coach Nasreddine Nabi said.

“Some [of our] young players need to get the experience needed for the PSL, at other clubs, everyone is aware of that and is aware of what will take place.”

What’s the latest from Kaizer Chiefs on Rushwin Dortley?

“Rushwin Dortley is running around a pitch, which is nearly empty – well, except for physiotherapist Phumzile Ngobese, who is monitoring the defender’s run closely,” Amakhosi announced on 15 July.

“The Amakhosi squad is training at another field of the Dutch amateur side WWNA in Wenum-Wiesell, which is basically next to Kaizer Chiefs’ hotel in Apeldoorn. Dortley is partly jogging; at other times, he increases his pace.”

Is Mbesuma a Kaizer Chiefs GOAT?

Meanwhile, who will ever forget the goal-scoring exploits of Zambian marksman Collins Mbesuma? His antics in the penalty area earned him a move to Portsmouth in 2005. All in all, Mbesuma bagged 55 goals in 173 DStv Premiership clashes. 25 goals in the 2004-05 season remains a record that is unlikely to be touched. And it belongs to cult Kaizer Chiefs hero, Mbesuma.
