Kaizer Chiefs sent fans into a frenzy on Tuesday as they officially announced several new signings for the upcoming Betway Premiership season.

The club teased supporters with a gradual reveal, building excitement throughout the day. Among the new faces joining the Glamour Boys are Nkanyiso Shinga (25), Ethan Chislett (26), and Flávio Silva (29)—each bringing unique experience to the squad.

Meet the New Signings

  • Flávio Silva – The Portuguese striker, born in Guinea-Bissau, joins from Indonesian club Persebaya Surabaya. A former Benfica player, Silva will wear jersey number 77.  Silva brings top-tier experience, having played for Benfica before moving to Indonesia.

  • Ethan Chislett – An attacking midfielder with a creative flair, Chislett previously played for England’s Port Vale and has experience in Spain with Reddis. Chislett adds creativity in midfield, having honed his skills in England and Spain.

  • Nkanyiso Shinga – A versatile left-back who can also play in midfield or attack, Shinga developed at KZN Academy before stints in Portugal with Vitória Setúbal and CD Pinhalnovense. He will wear number 74. Silva brings top-tier experience, having played for Benfica before moving to Indonesia.

The signings signal Chiefs’ intent to strengthen their squad after their Nedbank Cup triumph. Fans are eager to see how the new players will fit into the team when the season kicks off in August.

With these additions, Amakhosi supporters have plenty of reasons to be optimistic about the new campaign.
