The possibility that both Kaze and Youssef could have their contracts terminated as co-coaches at Kaizer Chiefs looms as a realistic scenario given the context surrounding the club’s coaching set-up.
Their elevation to interim roles came against the backdrop of Nabi’s suspension amid reported disagreements and coaching licensing issues.
KAZE RESPONDS TO CONCERNS OVER HIS FUTURE
When asked about the possibility of his dismissal, Kaze adopted a cautious stance.
“I believe that’s a question that should be directed to the management,” Kaze stated.
“At the moment, we are the coaches of Kaizer Chiefs until further notice, or until something else is decided by the management. So, I’m pretty sure they’ll let everyone know,” he added.
Ultimately, their futures are in the hands of Amakhosi management.
Kaizer Chiefs’ top brass are expected to make a decision on both men’s futures soon.
It could very well come down to the wishes of the next Amakhosi coach.
For example, if Amakhosi were to pursue Pitso Mosimane, by way of an example, he would in all likelihood insist on bringing in his own coaching staff.
This would result in Kaze and Youssef likely being released.
