Following Kaizer Chiefs’ 1–0 win over ZESCO United in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday, Amakhosi face Marumo Gallants in Bloemfontein on Wednesday, 28 January at 19:30.
The Glamour Boys will also keep an eye on facing ZESCO in the return leg in Durban on Sunday, marking a third match in eight days.
Kaizer Chiefs co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Ben Khalil Youssef will be expected to manage the legs and minds against Gallants at the Dr Molemela Stadium.
MARUMO GALLANTS VS KAIZER CHIEFS
Marumo Gallants head into the clash in 12th place on the Betway Premiership table and have found consistency hard to come by this season.
They sit just three points above the relegation zone and have not recorded a league win since October.
Kaizer Chiefs, meanwhile, are third in the standings and unbeaten in their last eight league matches. A third consecutive win across all competitions in 2026 is on the cards.
A victory could move Amakhosi up to second place, leaving them only two points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

EIGHT PLAYERS EXPECTED TO TAKE REST
With two matches in three days, the technical team are likely to make several changes to manage player workload and maintain fitness levels.
At full-back, Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako are expected to replace Dillan Solomons and Aden McCarthy, given the physical demands of the roles.
In central defence, Given Msimango could earn his first start of the season as Miguel Inacio faces the risk of suspension.
In midfield, Thulani Mabaso is a possible inclusion, with either Lebohang Maboe or Siphesihle Ndlovu making way. Sibongiseni Mthethwa remains unavailable due to injury.
Further up the pitch, Asanele Velebayi and Glody Lilepo are expected to come in, allowing Khanyisa Mayo and Pule Mmodi to rest.
Luke Baartman could replace Mfundo Vilakazi in the attacking midfield role, while Etiosa Ighodaro is tipped to start ahead of Flavio Silva up front.
