Chatting to the media ahead of the game, Amakhosi midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu expressed respect for Babina Noko while also showing confidence in Kaizer Chiefs’ preparations.

“It is a difficult encounter, this one,” Ndlovu said. “They’ve got so many threats that you have to deal with. They have individual threats, they have set-piece threats. You also have individual skills that you really need to deal with.

“But looking at how we have prepared, we have prepared perfectly for them. We are looking forward to playing the game. It still needs to be played. You can never win a game without playing it.

When asked if Kaizer Chiefs are thinking about the points tie, Ndlovu said, “Not really. This is a marathon. You need to go at your own pace. We are focusing on ourselves right now until probably later in the league [race].”
