Kaizer Chiefs tabled offer for superstar but it was rejected

Kaizer Chiefs are working hard to give Nasreddine Nabi a competitive squad.

The Glamour Boys have made a host of new signings for the 2025/26 campaign.

According to the latest reports, Chiefs were close to signing former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly star Percy Tau!

Why Tau rejected Kaizer Chiefs revealed

According to the latest transfer gossip, Percy Tau was in talks to join Kaizer Chiefs FC!

Tau had been a free agent after parting ways with Qatar SC. The diminutive winger was on the lookout for a new club, and Chiefs came knocking.

Unfortunately though, Kaizer Chiefs couldn’t meet Tau’s salary demands and the deal fell through!

“Talks, however, broke down after the two parties failed to agree on his salary demands, which proved too costly for Amakhosi,” a Citizen report read.

“Even though he agreed to a reduced package compared to his earnings abroad, the figure was still considered excessive by the Soweto giants.”

Should the Motaungs have pushed to sign Percy Tau?

Should Kaizer Chiefs have broken the bank to sign Percy Tau? Will they regret not landing the Bafana Bafana star? What do you think?
