Kaizer Chiefs switch focus to the Betway Premiership

Posted on October 20, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs are back on local duty this week after grinding out a solid 0-0 draw against AS Simba in the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round first leg in Lubumbashi, DRC.

The second leg will take place on Saturday, 25 October at Dobsonville Stadium, where Amakhosi will fancy their chances of finishing the job in Soweto.

But before that, there’s league business to prepare for.

SIWELELE FC TO VISIT KAIZER CHIEFS IN THE BETWAY PREMIERSHIP

On Wednesday night (19:30), the Phefeni Glamour Boys host Siwelele FC at the FNB Stadium in a Betway Premiership clash that could keep them close to the top.

FORM GUIDE

The Soweto giants currently sit fourth on the log, six points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, and crucially, they’ve got two games in hand.

So far this season, the Glamour Boys have recorded four wins, three draws and just one defeat from eight matches, with eight goals scored and five conceded.

Their visitors, however, arrive in rough shape. Siwelele FC are down in 14th place, collecting only seven points from nine games.

Lehlohonolo Seema’s men have struggled at both ends, just four goals scored and ten conceded, and will need something special to leave FNB with a result.
