Kaizer Chiefs co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Ben Khalil Youssef have made three changes to face Team Ya Ziko at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Zambia.

Dillan Solomons is starting at right-back ahead of Thabiso Monyane. Up front, Khanyisa Mayo has replaced Glody Lilepo on the right flank, while Vilakazi is in Mduduzi Shabalala in the number 10.

CONFIRMED KAIZER CHIEFS STARTING 11

Kaizer Chiefs: Petersen, McCarthy, Kwinika, Miguel, Monyane, Ndlovu, Maboe, Vilakazi, Mmodi, Mayo, Da Silva

Substitutes: Bvuma, Msimango, Solomons, Mako, Mabaso, Velebayi, Baartman, Vilakazi, Mayo.

ZESCO UNITED: To be confirmed.

FORM GUIDE

Al Masry top Group D with six points, ahead of Zamalek on four. Kaizer Chiefs sit third with just one point, while ZESCO United remain bottom without a single point.

The Soweto side will next face ZESCO United at home in Durban on 1 February, before taking on Al Masry in another crucial clash on 8 February.

The group stage concludes with a tricky trip to Zamalek on 15 February, a match that could ultimately decide who progresses to the knockout rounds.

Amakhosi arrive in Zambia with a slight confidence boost after kicking off 2026 with a 1-0 win over Golden Arrows, sealed by an Aden McCarthy header.

That victory snapped a four-match winless run, which included a 2-1 CAF loss to Al Masry and draws against Zamalek (1-1), Chippa United (0-0) and TS Galaxy (0-0).
