Kaizer Chiefs star is back after red card

Kaizer Chiefs star Pule Mmodi is back. The 32-year-old winger from Theunissen, Free State, has served his suspension after the red card he picked up against Sekhukhune United on 17 May last season.

That sending-off ruled him out of Kaizer Chiefs’ first Betway Premiership match of the new campaign — Sunday’s 2–0 win over Stellenbosch FC at the Athlone Stadium.

Last season, Pule was one of Amakhosi’s most reliable players, with four goals and one assist in 24 games, including the Nedbank Cup and Carling Knockout.
