Kaizer Chiefs star fulfils his father’s dream

Posted on August 22, 2025

Siphesihle Ndlovu is not just scoring winning goals for Kaizer Chiefs, he’s living out a family dream.

Fresh from netting the winner against Polokwane City to keep Amakhosi’s 100% Betway Premiership start alive, the midfielder revealed that pulling on the famous jersey is as much about his father as it is about him.

The 28-year-old admitted his journey to Kaizer Chiefs wasn’t straightforward. A chance to join Amakhosi slipped away earlier in his career, but instead of sulking, he doubled down on his work.

Was that Mofokeng’s last match for Orlando Pirates?

“It was my father’s dream for me to play for the club he has always supported and since the age of about 17 or 18, I have wanted to fulfil that ambition,” Ndlovu told the club’s media. “Right now, he is very happy and so excited, which means the world to me.

“A while back I missed out on a chance to come here, so I said to myself I will still work hard to hopefully get the opportunity again, so when it did come, I was thrilled to finally sign for Amakhosi,” added the Petermaritzburg-born star.
