Kaizer Chiefs star announces he is leaving via social media?

Kaizer Chiefs striker Wandile Duba has left fans guessing after posting a cryptic “Departure ❤️✌️🤝” message on Instagram, hinting at a possible loan or even a shock move overseas.

The 21-year-old attacker from Lenasia, Johannesburg, who has made four appearances and one assist this season, posted the Instagram story on Monday, leaving Amakhosi fans speculating about his next step.

This moment comes just weeks after the club secured two new experienced strikers, Flavio Silva from Guinea-Bissau and Etiosa Ighodaro from Nigeria. This pushed Duba further down the pecking order and makes a loan deal or even a shock move abroad a real possibility.

WANDILE DUBA TO BECOME THE NINTH PLAYER TO LEAVE KAIZER CHIEFS DURING THE CURRENT TRANSFER WINDOW?

Duba, who delivered four goals and one assist in 20 games last term, could be the latest Amakhosi player to make an unexpected move abroad:

  • Njabulo Blom to St Louis in the USA
  • Siyabonga Ngezana to FSSB in Romania
  • Thatayaone Ditlhokwe to Al-Ittihad SC in Libya
  • Yusuf Maart to SV Ried in Austria.

Whether it will turn out to be a temporary switch for game time or a permanent transfer, the youngster’s Instagram post has left more questions than answers.

For now, Kaizer Chiefs supporters will be waiting for clarity from the club. One thing’s sure: Duba’s future has just become one of the hottest talking points at Naturena.
