Kaizer Chiefs have signed a total of seven players from PSL rivals so far.

Kaizer Chiefs have just wraped up their SEVENTH signing from teams within the PSL.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi has signed these players from Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

CHIEFS SIGN SEVENTH PLAYER FROM PSL RIVALS

Chiefs have secured the signature of Lebohang Maboe from Mamelodi Sundowns.

“Introducing our new jersey number 6, Lebohang Maboe! Welcome back to the Kaizer Chiefs Family!,” Chiefs announced across their official social media platforms.

So, he becomes the seventh player Amakhosi have signed from rival clubs within the PSL.

Initially, Chiefs signed Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane from Orlando Pirates. Thereafter, they secured Siphesihle Ndlovu from the now-defunct SuperSport United.

More recently, Asanele Velebayi and Luke Baartmen (Cape Town Spurs) and Etiosa Ighodaro have also been unveiled as new Chiefs players.

AMAKHOSI KEEN ON ANOTHER OUTBOUND SUNDOWNS MAN

Chiefs are closely monitoring Bafana Bafana midfielder, Neo Maema.

Meaning, Chiefs and Siwelele FC are in a race for Maema’s signature.

“Kaizer Chiefs and Siwelele FC are both monitoring the availability of former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Neo Maema, who is currently captaining the Bafana Bafana side at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament,” Phakaaati reported last week.

So, Amakhosi are expected to make a bid for the former Sundowns players when the CHAN campaign commences. Interestingly, Maema was the current captain of the Bafana Bafana CHAN side.

“Chiefs have long been admirers of the attacking midfielder, who reminded suitors of his quality by scoring in Bafana’s 2-1 victory over Guinea in Uganda last week. His future is expected to become clearer once the CHAN campaign concludes, with both Amakhosi and Siwelele believed to be keen on securing his signature,” they added.

Therefore, following the commencement of Bafana Bafana’s CHAN campaign, Chiefs and Siwelele are expected to make moves for Maema. He is one of 12 Sundowns players released with these players joining Chiefs and Pirates.
