Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing of Khanyisa Mayo from CR Belouizdad.

The 27-year-old striker only spent one season with the Algerian side following his high-profile move from Cape Town City last year.

On Friday evening, Kaizer Chiefs announced on X that Mayo was their 11th signing.

“Amakhosi Family, our new signing has a message for you. We are looking forward to welcoming him home soon. We just couldn’t wait to let you know that Khanyisa Mayo is Khosified!!! Welcome Khosi, we look forward to revealing that special jersey number….look out for the reveal coming soon,” Chiefs said in a statement.

Kaizer Chiefs have signed three strikers

Aside from Mayo, Amakhosi have signed Etiosa Ighodaro and Flavia Silva. So far, the Glamour Boys have won four of their five matches this season and look like a team to beat.

Mayo will strengthen their attacking department as they look to challenge for league honours this season.

Can Mayo score more than 10 goals this season for Amakhosi?
