Kaizer Chiefs receive R6 million per year from this municipality

Kaizer Chiefs have a massive following in South Africa.

So much so that more often than not, even their away games turn into home games for the Glamour Boys.

The Amakhosi themselves have taken some of their home games to various destinations to cater for their national support base.

And now, the figure the club received for shifting their home games away from their traditional FNB Stadium has been revealed!

How much Kaizer Chiefs earned from Peter Mokaba games

Kaizer Chiefs were paid a rather impressive amount by the Polokwane Municipality for shifting some of their home games to the Peter Mokaba.

According to FARPost, Kaizer Chiefs earned R2 million for each fixture they took to Limpopo!

“The figures are a little bit exaggerated because we only have six matches with Kaizer Chiefs at R2 million per match,” Limpopo municipality’s Sports and Recreation Manager Mantlako Sebaka told the publication.

“Which is R6 million per season and R12 million in two seasons, excluding VAT in this case. For us, the most important thing is whether we are putting together an agreement, by the way. There is nothing new in the agreement.”

Where else should Chiefs take their home matches to?

Where else do you want Kaizer Chiefs to take their home matches to? In the recent past, the Glamour Boys have used the FNB Stadium, Moses Mabhida and Peter Mokaba Stadium.
