Kaizer Chiefs sensation Luke Baartman’s work rate in training has been questioned, while the club continue to pursue a new goalkeeper.
Chiefs are ‘killing football’ according to disgusted boss
OFFICIAL: Kaizer Chiefs are still the biggest club in South Africa
Baartman is talented but must work harder, says Mhlongo
Former Orlando Pirates star Benson Mhlongo has described a Kaizer Chiefs teenager as intelligent but lacking in work rate.
“I can describe Luke Baartman as a new sensation—one of the rare intelligent players at his age. He is very smart,” Benson Mhlongo said.
“I just hope Chiefs will be patient with him because he doesn’t show much work rate at training; he is more calculative. While others may be running at full speed, he takes a more measured approach.
Kaizer Chiefs target giant goalkeeper Kamara
Chiefs are looking at 25-year-old Asante Katoko and Guinea goalkeeper Mohamed Kamara. He stands at 1.94m tall.
“I was approached after our friendly match. They appreciated my performance, especially the four penalties saved,” said Camara.
Is Mhlongo accurate in his analysis, Kaizer Chiefs fans?
