Kaizer Chiefs injury news: Three players

Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Cedric Kaze has given fresh injury updates before Amakhosi host Betway Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns at the FNB Stadium.

Amakhosi have started the season brightly with three straight wins over Stellenbosch FC, Polokwane City FC and Richards Bay FC.

But as they prepare for their biggest test yet, the fitness of three key Kaizer Chiefs players has cast a bit of doubt over their preparations.

THREE PLAYERS TO MISS MAMELODI SUNDOWNS GAME?

Aden McCarthy

“About Aden, he hasn’t been training since that day [Richards Bay],” Kaze said.

“The medical staff are working hard to get him back on the field, but we’ll have to wait and see how he does tomorrow to decide whether he will be part of the game or not,” Kaze added.

Bradley Cross and Nkanyiso Shinga

The Kaizer Chiefs assistant continued: “We have Shinga and Cross who have been sick in the last few days. Ighodaro was also injured at training two days ago.

“But apart from that, everyone is well and ready for the game,” added the Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach.

WHO SHOULD START FOR KAIZER CHIEFS AT LEFT-BACK?
