Kaizer Chiefs have been offered the chance to sign a Cameroonian striker ahead of next season.

The Glamour Boys struggled in front of goal last season, scoring just 25 goals in 28 league matches.

With a desperate need to bolster their attack, Kaizer Chiefs have only welcomed Flavio Silva to their squad as an attacking new signing.

Now, with time running out, management have a promising opportunity to sign a CAF Champions League quality striker.

According to the latest transfer gossip, Kaizer Chiefs have been offered the chance to sign Ravel Djoumekou from DR Congo side St Eloi Lupopo.

The 25-year-old Cameroonian striker is currently being assessed by Chiefs’ technical team.

“He is an experienced striker who could really help Chiefs at this stage,” an insider told Soccer Laduma.

“He has been offered to Kaizer Chiefs in their quest to sign a striker and now it’s up to Chiefs’ scouts and analysts to assess him and make a decision after that. But if they make their decision to sign him, then he would be available.”

If the former UD Songo striker does indeed join the club, he’ll have to hit the ground running at Naturena as a huge campaign lies ahead. If not him, who else can Chiefs sign?
