Kaizer Chiefs finally find a goalkeeper they can trust?

Posted on August 26, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs have struggled to settle on a goalkeeper in recent seasons, but there’s a belief that they’ve found their man.

Chiefs met Asante Katoko in the Toyota Cup and were foiled by a brilliant goalkeeping display.

When is Kaizer Chiefs vs Mamelodi Sundowns?

Kamara says Kaizer Chiefs have inquired

25-year-old Asante Katoko goalkeeper Mohamed Kamara, who stands at 1.94m tall, is a target for Kaizer Chiefs.

“I was approached after our friendly match. They appreciated my performance, especially the four penalties saved,” said Camara.

“We had a long conversation. I told them to contact my club, as I still have a one-year contract.

“It’s nice to see the interest from a historic club like Kaizer Chiefs.”

“There are other clubs in Morocco and two in Europe who have also contacted me for information, but nothing concrete yet.

“I am ready to see out my contract. For now, there is no question of an extension. I am keeping my head up and working even harder to have a better season,” he concluded.

Is Kamara the solution?
