Kaizer Chiefs eyeing another ex-Pirates star

Posted on November 17, 2025

Kaizer Chiefs already have one eye on the January transfer window.

The Glamour Boys signed well at the beginning of the season. Some of their new players took little time in hitting the ground running.

Despite parting ways with head coach Nasreddine Nabi, Kaizer Chiefs have managed to hold their own this season.

The Amakhosi qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup group stages. The big plus however has been their ability to maintain their position in the league title race.

Kaizer Chiefs looking at strengthening squad again

According to the latest transfer gossip, Kaizer Chiefs are still looking at reinforcing their squad for the second half of the season.

The Glamour Boys have a grueling six-months ahead of them. They’ll be looking to win the Confederation Cup as well as the league title.

And for this, much depth is required. Now, fresh reports suggest Kaizer Chiefs are closely monitoring Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo!

The diminutive midfielder has resurrected his career after being shown the door by Orlando Pirates at the beginning of the season.

He joined Marumo Gallants as a free agent and has been carrying the team. So far, Ndlondlo has made 12 appearances for the Limpopo side.

The 30-year-old has three goals to his name, showing he’s still far from past his prime.

Now, according to Soccer Laduma, Kaizer Chiefs are keeping a close tab on Ndlondlo. If his form continues this way, the Amakhosi have been tipped to make a move for him.

“The Siya crew recently revealed that big teams in Gauteng have started to monitor the dynamic midfielder, including Amakhosi.” the publication reported.

Ndlondlo’s numbers at Orlando Pirates

Ndlondlo spent three years at Orlando Pirates. He was a key player for Jose Riveiro, making 65 appearances for the club.

In total, Ndlondlo has 149 senior appearances in the PSL. He managed to register five assists while scoring 22 goals.

The midfield maestro can undoubtedly give the Kaizer Chiefs midfield a new dimension. His vision and ability to play in tight spaces makes him a unique option.
