‘Kaizer Chiefs don’t need to sign anymore’ – Ex-Bafana star

Former Bafana Bafana defender Morgan Gould feels Kaizer Chiefs do not need to sign any more players this season.

Amakhosi signed a total of 10 players during the current transfer window. The new players who have featured have impressed so far and helped the club win four of their opening five Betway Premiership matches.

Gould was in Kaizer Chiefs colours the last time the Glamour Boys tasted like success and he believes that his former club don’t need to sign more players unless to go for an exceptional talent.

“I think it’s safe to say that delay is not denying. It seems like they have signed in the right sort of areas, you know. I think it looks okay unless there is an exceptional player out there that is willing to come to Chiefs or that they are willing to break the bank for. Which I doubt. You don’t need a player that you are going to break the bank for because it comes with its own dynamics. You can sign the player then what if the player doesn’t fit into the plans?” Gould asked.

Kaizer Chiefs might not sign any players

Gould said Amakhosi Zitha Kwinika has impressed with the defender, who seems to have had his mojo back towards the end of last season.

“I don’t want to lie to you. The rejuvenation of Zitha (Kwinika) for me. I think he is waking up and also saying, ‘you know what I have been here, I left, I came back. I tried and it didn’t work’. But now he has the experience that he has, I will say Zitha (Kwinika) is, as he is like a new player. It reminds me of all the things I have been through in my career. He took it and he revived it like ‘okay, this is the situation. It’s not idle but I am going to work with it’. And it’s working for him,” Gould said as per Soccer Laduma.

Kaizer Chiefs might sign an extra striker especially if Khanyisa Mayo is available.

Should Amakhosi sign more players?
