The former Kaizer Chiefs attacker is poised to join Chippa United, who would become Ranga Chivaviro’s 10th PSL club.
The 32-year-old has bounced around the league like the true local journeyman from Witbank Aces, Cape Town All Stars, FC Cape Town, Baroka, TS Sporting, Venda FC, Marumo Gallants, to Kaizer Chiefs, making him one of the PSL’s most well-travelled forwards.
According to the latest report, Chippa, known as the Chilli Boyz, have tabled a new offer for the Bolobedu-born player.

As reported in local media over the past weeks, Chivaviro was said to be on the radar of clubs abroad, from Hong Kong to Iraq, but is said to have passed on those possibilities in favour of staying in his homeland.
“The Chilli Boys are in pursuit of a new striker after a slow start to the new campaign and have identified the robust striker as the perfect candidate to bolster their options for new head coach Luc Eymael,” iDiski Times‘ Lorenz Kohler reported.
“Talks are now at an advanced stage with minor details to be finalised before making a move to Gqeberha,” the report added.
Meanwhile, Chivaviro has 31 goals and two assists in his 111 Premier Soccer League appearances.
