Kaizer Chiefs Confirm Edmilson Dove’s Departure

Kaizer Chiefs have announced that defender Edmilson Dove will leave the club when his contract expires on 30 June 2024.

The Mozambican international joined Amakhosi in 2022 and made 45 appearances across all competitions during his two-year stint at Naturena. While primarily deployed as a center-back, the 29-year-old also provided cover at left-back when needed.

In an official statement, the club expressed their appreciation for Dove’s service: “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Edmilson for his contributions to the Club and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”

Dove’s departure continues Kaizer Chiefs’ defensive reshuffle under new coach Nasreddine Nabi, following earlier exits of other backline players. The former Cape Town City defender now becomes a free agent and can negotiate with other clubs ahead of the 2024/25 season.
