Kaizer Chiefs boss talks about the new star

Kaizer Chiefs have ticked another box in this transfer window. Long-term target Asanele Velebayi is officially in.

The 22-year-old from Phillipi has upped Amakhosi’s list of new signings to seven players, including the former Orlando Pirates duo Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane.

Velebayi’s move was never smooth, thanks to a PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber over his clearance. With legal hurdles cleared, Kaizer Chiefs’ Sporting Director Kaizer Motuang Jr has expressed his joy.
