Kaizer Chiefs are facing the same stupid problem YET AGAIN

Kaizer Chiefs are always looking to secure top players in all positions but one area of the pitch continues to frustrate.

When last did Kaizer Chiefs have a reliable goal-scorer at the club?

Plenty of jersey numbers and playing positions have become cursed in world football. The Number 9 role at Kaizer Chiefs has become one of them. Cult favourite Samir Nurkovic feels like a footballer from a bygone era.

Kaizer Chiefs transfers: Three youngsters with mixed futures

Chiefs’ current strikers don’t cut the mustard

New man Flavio Silva has given birth to plenty of memes online after his poor performances in pre-season in the Netherlands, but we’ll give him time for now. Relatively new arrival Tashreeq Morris is a veteran of the South African scene but hardly a long-term option at 31. Also, he’s never been the most prolific player. For all of his industry and hard work, 28-year-old Ashley Du Preez is also not the answer. Can Etiosa Ighodaro come in and buck this trend, and will Chiefs even pull off a deal for the 24-year-old Nigerian?

Shabalala on his way out?

Only a bold man would predict that Mduduzi Shabalala will leave Chiefs in the winter, but his long-term prospects don’t look great. The writing isn’t on the wall yet, however, and it’s up to the player to prove how much he wants to become a legend at the club. If big offers come in from any of the wealthy clubs in South Africa, or better yet, abroad, Chiefs might have to seriously consider them. The money could go towards two or even three new young prospects playing in South Africa.

Would Ighodaro solve Chiefs’ problem in front of goal or is he not the answer?
