Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates loanees to clash abroad

Kaizer Chiefs loanee Xolani Cossa is set to face off with a player from rival club Orlando Pirates next weekend.

Cossa was loaned out to Botswana’s Black Lions FC for the 2025/26 campaign.

Across the road, Orlando Pirates also sent one of their rising stars out on loan to Botswana.

Bucs youngster Tefo Mofokeng is currently out on loan at Mochudi Centre Chiefs for the season. Now, the two promising stars are set to meet!

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates loanees to clash

A tantalising meeting between Black Lions and Mochudi Centre Chiefs looms next weekend.

The two clubs face off in a crunch Botswana Premiership fixture on Saturday, 08 November 2025.

The Kaizer Chiefs defender and Orlando Pirates attacker will be hoping to push their respective side’s to victory.

Currently, Mochudi sit in second position on the log standings, one point behind Sua Flamingoes. Owen Da Gama’s Black Lions on the other hand sit in ninth position on the log standings.

Amakhosi youngster tipped for big future

Black Lions coach Owen Da Gama believes he can nurture Cossa into a future Bafana Bafana star.

“I’m aware that where he’s coming from, there’s a lot of pressure and also a lot of defenders,” Da Gama said regarding the Kaizer Chiefs youngster as quoted by FARPost.

“This is an opportunity for him to come and enjoy his fame and also experience senior team football in a different country. He’s not a player to be groomed. Therefore it’s also just to get him out of the limelight and further nurture his development.”

The two players have been shining for their sides during recent weeks. Now, all eyes will be on which player can lead their side to victory.
