Kaizer Chiefs: 12 signings, 10 departures

Kaizer Chiefs have wrapped up over 20 transfer deals so far.

Kaizer Chiefs have signed a total of 12 new players.

Meanwhile, Amakhosi have released over 10 stars.

CHIEFS SIGN 12TH PLAYER

As reported on The South African, Chiefs have just signed DDC product, Xolani Cossa.

Meaning, he becomes their 12th signing of the current transfer window.

He joins Nkanyiso Shinga, Flavio Silva, Ethan Chislett, Paseka Mako, Thabiso Monyane, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Asanele Velebayi, Etiosa Ighodaro, Luke Baartman and Lebohang Maboe as Chiefs’ newest signings.

However, Cossa has just penned a loan deal with Botswanan outfit – Black Leopards. Meaning, he will only join up with the Amakhosi senior side after his loan spell at the end of the season.


AMAKHOSI RELEASE 10 PLAYERS

Chiefs have offloaded a total of 10 players this transfer window.

Ranga Chivaviro, Njabulo Blom, Sabelo Radebe, Edmilson Dove, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Yusuf Maart, Tebogo Potsane and Bongani Sam all recently left Mayfair.

Meanwhile, DDC product, Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi is now playing for PSL rivals, TS Galaxy.

So, this R5-million outbound Chiefs recently joined PSL rivals. Whilst, this R4-million ex-Chiefs striker is close to signing a contract with another side in the BetWay Premiership.


ORLANDO PIRATES EVEN BUSIER THAN AMAKHOSI

As mentioned, Chiefs have completed over 20 transfer deals. However, Amakhosi are not the busiest team in the current transfer window.

In fact, Soweto rivals, Pirates have completed even more deals.

The Bucs have signed 14 players. Additionally, Pirates have offloaded a total of 17 players. Therefore, the Bucs have completed a total of over 30 player deals (31 to be exact).

Most notieably, they signed the likes of Sipho Mbule (Sundowns), Tshepang Moremi (AmaZulu), Sihle Nduli (Stellenbosch FC), Oswin Appollis and (Polokwane City).

Ex-captain Innocent Maela, Paseko Mako and Thabiso Monyane (Chiefs), Monnapule Saleng (loan to Orbit College), Mohau Nkota (Al Ittifaq) and Zakhele Lepasa headline the list of departures out of Mayfair.
