The 2025/26 Betway Premiership season is fast approaching its halfway mark as teams scramble to dethrone defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Masandawana certainly haven’t had things all their own way this season with ‘only’ seven wins in their opening 13 fixtures.
Lead the way
Orlando Pirates currently lead the way with 28 points after 12 matches, two points ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns and with a game in hand.
Third-placed Sekhukhune United are a further point adrift, also having played one more match than the Buccaneers.
At the foot of the table, TS Galaxy have a lowly nine points from 15 matches and will be anxious heading into the second half of the season.

Remaining fixtures in 2025
There is only one more scheduled match to be played ahead of the year-end break for AFCON 2025 which will take place between 21 December and 18 January 2026 in Morocco.
The last league fixture of the year is scheduled for Sunday, 7 December to give Bafana Bafana enough time to prepare for AFCON 2025.
In that clash, eighth-placed TS Galaxy will welcome fifth-placed Kaizer Chiefs to the Mbombela Stadium in Mbombela to wrap up 2025’s proceedings.
A win for TS Galaxy would see them leapfrog Kaizer Chiefs, while victory for Amakhosi could see them move as high as third place.
The Betway Premiership will resume in the New Year on 20 January.
