Junior Khanye claps for Orlando Pirates star

Orlando Pirates’ midfield maestro Sipho Mbule starred in South Africa’s 3–1 friendly win over Zambia in Gqeberha.

The Bethlehem-born attacker played 90 minutes and produced two key assists.

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye later praised the Bucs star, highlighting his intelligence on the field and the way he continues to prove critics wrong.

“Mbule has a wonderful vision, he knows football, and the more he plays I think he proves a lot of people wrong,” Khanye told iDiski TV. He added: “I mean those ones who thought the guy doesn’t take his career seriously… when we see you with our own eyes playing, you are closing off even the negative things you have done before. Good pass, good run.”

Khanye also singled out Mbule’s link-up with younger teammates, showing how the midfielder adds a new dimension to the team.

“He gave us a different dimension in the first half, something even Tshepang Moremi couldn’t give us. Look at the ball he received from Thalente Mbatha, who also keeps improving. The forward passes, including the ball he played to Mbule who had a vision…”
